Generating set equipment
The bedplate is made of steel profile complete with adequately dimensioned anti-vibration supports.
The body is soundproof and consists of modular panels, covered with galvanized steel with anti-corrosion and adverse conditions treatment, duly fixed and sealed, in order to obtain a completely waterproof receptacle.
It has easy access to the generator set for maintenance purposes thanks to side access doors fixed by stainless steel hinges and perforated galvanized steel interior. It also includes removable panels with screw holes protected by a plastic cover. In addition, the control panel protection door is provided with a suitable window and lock.
It consists of an adequately protected and soundproofed side air intake opening and a roof exhaust vent, rain gutter protected by an appropriate grille.
Complete soundproofing is achieved thanks to the sound-absorbing material with acoustic insulation and the efficient residential silencer placed inside the bodywork.

Mechanical structure
It has a robust mechanical structure which allows easy access to connections and components for routine maintenance.
Voltage regulator
- Voltage regulation provided by DER1: based on the DSP (Digital signal Processor) system, it consists of a digital regulator that combines the functions of Voltage Regulator and Alternator Diagnostics and Protection incorporated in a small control card.
- Supply voltage: 40Vac÷270Vac
- Maximum output current: 4A dc. Frequency range: 12Hz÷72Hz.
- Automatic single-phase recognition sensor. Average voltage regulation value.

Wiring system / excitation
The generator stator is wound in 2/3, thus eliminating triple harmonics (3rd, 9th, 15th ...) in the voltage waveform. This optimal design avoids problems in the supply of non-linear loads. The 2/3 winding design avoids excessive neutral currents present in larger windings.
MAUX: The MAUX MeccAlte auxiliary winding is an independent winding that feeds the regulator. Thanks to this winding it is possible to withstand an overload of 300% of the rated current (maintaining the short-circuit current) for 20 seconds. This is very important for motor starting requirements.
Insulation impregnation
Insulation is class H standard. Impregnation is done with premium epoxy resins bonded by dipping and dripping. The high voltage parts are vacuum impregnated, so that the insulation level is always very good. In high-power models, the stator windings undergo a second insulation process. Gray protection is applied on the main stator exciter in order to achieve higher protection.
