The H4.0FT6 forklift truck's on-board computer allows adjustment of truck performance and monitoring of key functions

The heavy-duty industrial engine features a cast iron block, eliminating the need for HT cables, distributor caps and rotors. With the help of high-speed glow plugs, the engine can start smoothly and reliably in low-temperature conditions. In addition, the cold-start device ensures a reduction in emissions by injecting fuel suitable for the water temperature. To control emissions, the fuel injection distribution is adjusted according to the engine load.

In order to further reduce fuel consumption, new technologies have been introduced to optimize the performance of the H4.0FT6 forklift, such as demand cooling, load-sensing hydraulics and RPM management. The ECO-eLo performance mode reduces energy consumption by up to 15% compared to previous generation engines, without compromising productivity.

The durability of the Hyster forklift powertrain is protected and managed by the VSM™ Pacesetter on-board computer, which uses a CAN bus communications network. This system allows precise communication between the different vehicle systems and to ensure high performance, it also includes a hydraulic filter that ensures components are kept clean and free of impurities.
