The purpose of this non-return valve is to let the liquid flow in one direction and close it in the opposite direction
Non-return valves or check valves are used to maintain pressure in a pipeline in service and to discharge the supply. The fluid flow from the inlet port to the outlet port is free, while the flow in the opposite direction is blocked. They are also called unidirectional valves.
