This machine uses a LPG gas engine that allows it to reach from 4,000 kg to 5,500 kg of load capacity. Its masts make it reach up to 7,000 mm lifting height achieving a great visibility, as well as a better adjustment and less wear of the bearings thanks to its inclined rollers.

Description

High durability and high performance in demanding applications

This series of trucks, the GEN2 C40-55s, is specifically designed to tackle any task. It achieves maximum engine, transmission and axle cooling in the harshest environments and most demanding applications thanks to the built-in open core radiator and finned plates.

Parking brake

To improve the safety of the machine, several mechanisms have been implemented to create a stable environment for the operator. The brake must be operated with a hand lever and the transmission disengages when the parking brake is engaged to prevent a locked brake run.

Oil bathed disc brakes

They are sealed and oil-cooled for smooth, quiet operation and minimal wear for long service life. Maintenance is also greatly reduced due to less downtime. The truck is also designed with brake assist, which means the pedal will require little effort from the operator when braking, reducing worker fatigue.

The power that moves the machine

The engine on the machine is a GM V-6 4.3 l LPG engine, which allows smooth and quiet operation. There is also the optional Euro stage 4 LPG version complete with 3-way muffler.

One feature of the engine is the automatic shutdown. This means it protects your investment in the event of low engine oil pressure, excess engine coolant or high transmission oil temperature.

The engines comply with European exhaust and particulate emission regulations according to CE conformity.

Ease of maintenance

In addition, this model has easy access for maintenance, as the hood lifts up on both sides of the engine and the floor panel can be removed to access hydraulic and transmission components

Mast and chassis

Robust construction

With an I-profile mast and rails with a 55% more robust design than conventional flat rails, better lateral deflection resistance and longer machine life are achieved, as well as improved stability under high loads.

With the hydraulic damper valves built into the truck, quiet sequential operation is achieved, reducing jolts and vibrations.

The chassis includes 6 load rollers and 4 side thrust rollers that together maximize load distribution and reduce clearances.

Steering shaft

To prevent fouling and extend service life, the steering knuckle bearings are tapered and greaseable. Also, the connecting pivots have a double shear design to withstand impacts without loosening or breaking.

One-piece frame

The vehicle is protected against impact damage, extending the service life of the machine thanks to the design of high-strength, welded and formed steel plates.

Hydraulic system

  • To harness maximum power this model uses a load sensing flow control valve for steering to reduce power loss and heat build-up.
  • Optimal attachment performance: the main hydraulic valve incorporates adjustable flow controls for tilt and auxiliary functions.
  • Thanks to its sectional design, it allows easy incorporation of additional functions and simplifies maintenance.
  • Thanks to its mast-mounted load lowering valve, this truck achieves a controlled lowering independent of engine speed.

Operator's cabin

  • The CLARK car seat has a 15 cm longitudinal adjustment, molded for greater support and a retractable seat belt to make weight adjustment and full suspension available much easier.
  • Operator presence sensor system (optional): when the operator leaves his seat, the hydraulic and transmission functions are deactivated.
  • Thanks to the thick molded mat, vibration and noise levels are reduced and operator comfort is improved.
  • The hydraulic controls on the hood are located in a specially sized area for easy and ergonomic operation.
  • Significantly increases fork and load visibility due to its low front end design.
  • The tilt steering column can be adjusted to suit the operator and facilitate entry/exit.
