1983 PORSCHE 928 SIDCC-0155

This Porsche 928 with 300 hp and 4.7 liters, since its manufacture, Porsche wanted to give great importance to make a light construction. For this reason it was decided to manufacture the doors, the front spoiler and the bonnet of the engine in aluminum instead of with steel plate. Taking into account more aesthetic details, the main optics made them round and integrated in the spoiler opening electrically upwards. While in the back it had a wide moon of the hood that dominated the rear aerodynamic and rounded. In addition, in this model, the rear axle of the 928 was an absolute novelty. The main feature of this suspension with double trapezoids (also called Weissach axis) was its ability to stabilize the convergence. Its effect was practically like that of a passive rear wheel steering and, with this, it was an essential contribution for the active safety of Gran Turismo.
